Must be the MOST AWESOME '88 on the planet

Well, looks like the seller believes that.

"Serious Inquiries Only!"

ha, ha, ebay should tell him "serious sellers only"
"lol.. because not too many people care for that style of car"

Dear ac4041,

Does this Cat come with some of the crack that you've obviously been smoking?

Get real....I've sold better Thunderbirds and Cougars than this for 500 bucks.

It is a nice looking car.  Wonder what he meant the actual starting bid to be?  500, 5000 ??

$5000 seems about right if it had 50K miles on it.

Ford $50,000 it better have a trunk full of gold bricks.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

I responded to this ad, and asked if he maybe had the decimals in the wrong place and just didn't realize it didn't say $500.  And I then said, that if it WAS correct, good luck making a sale.  His reply was (cut and pasted right from my ebay page):

"the only luck I need of like to mind there own beewaxs and stay out of mind
you obviously CANT READ!
I did say, serious inquiries only in the ad
, and I did say the ad is published correctly
, so good luck to you!

SO, I replied:

Dear ac4041,
Well, Actually, I WAS minding my own beeswax (nice spelling, by the way), because I am shopping for another cougar to purchase, and would be willing to travel several hundred miles to pick it up, if needed. The '87 anniversary editions currently being sold reach aroud $16,000 on the high end, so It was pretty obvious, that something is wrong. I can read just fine, just wanted to confirm that you are a complete and utter moron, and the only thing wrong is you. have a wonderful day, butthead.

So, he had one last reply:

This is not the Jerry Springer Show I am not going to argue with someone I don't even know if you don't like the price I selected . Then, there's plenty of other cars for you to choose from it is what it is. Thanks
Have a good life

No, he meant $50,000.  I asked him during the auction and got a really incoherent, ignorant response.  A complete idiot.
