cars damaged at auction Reply #9 – January 24, 2010, 10:46:31 PM Rich people who are trying to sell there cars for an overprice are now going to collect insurance money for cars they didn’t deserve. We deserved them cause we would have never sold them or put our car in that situation. If it was a car show I truly would now I was there prized possession and then I would feel bad for them. I hurt for the cars only lol. Quote Selected

cars damaged at auction Reply #11 – January 25, 2010, 10:52:34 AM Quote from: ProTouring442;307840You are kidding, yes? Shiny Side Up!BillI sure as heck hope he is. The owners definately deserve insurance money for their damaged cars. Most of the owners of classic and antique cars are not rich, most owners only have one car. I own a 1972 cutlass 442 that was restored a few years back and doesn't need anything, and I'm 19 years old, certainly not rich. Those guys have spent tens of thousands of dollars restoring and reviving there cars to what they are today. Most people over spend on classic cars, retoring the sheet metals, the interriors and everything else to perfect factory condition(unless you can do the body work yourself). Why do thunderbird owners deserve insurance money for not putting our cars in the auction? That makes no logical sense. And I can't understand what your talking about with the car show thing. Now I noticed of hand a buick gs stage one, if its real, I couldn't say from the top picture, but assuming it is, its worth a heck of a lot more, like 5-8x what the majority of our fox body cars are worth, how can you say they are not entitled to the insurance money to fix thier cars? I also noticed a 1970 cutlass 442 W-30 convertible in the lot. Whether it had damage or not I can't say, but one just went through barrett jackson for $222,000. Buying one around my area fully restored but not perfect would run close to $100,000. The one on barrett jackson had a couple of rare features like a factory full aluminum rear end and such, but still, why are the owners not supposed to get money to fix thier cars? Our cars weren't damaged, how can one claim we deserve money for that? Quote Selected

cars damaged at auction Reply #14 – January 25, 2010, 01:34:46 PM Glad to see the detailed pics, well not glad, but the damage didn't look that bad in the the video. Thats a shame, imagine the money thats already been spent on the cars, and now to be respent to fix them. I can't imagine how the owners must feel right now. Quote Selected
