2-owner 1988 T-bird Sport: $650

All,

Well, time, a pending divorce, and my own personal laziness mean I'm not going to do much with the car.  I've been on-again-off-again selling it, but this time I really have to bite the bullet.

The quick rundown and photos are in this thread of two years ago.  Yeah, I know, I've been indecisive for two years....

Additionally, it needs a battery, water pump (though it can run a little while if the coolant is refilled), and the power antenna no longer works.  Needs lers, but the particular pattern of wear/damage in them makes the car sound quite aggressive rather than just seedy.

The CD changer (still working when removed), and the mustang OEM headers (used) I never installed go with it.

I figure if I can't sell it, I'll have to donate it, but I understand they mostly take the cars and part them out if I understand, and I'd really prefer it to go whole and be used/driven.

Have the manual, window sticker, and some other documentation as well.

Any interest?

1987 T-Bird AEROBIRD-GT had many many mods but is now totaled and is the car that made me want to start customizing everything all over again.

When last I drove it, yes, although, just to be safe, I'd STRONGLY recommend bringing a few gallons of water/antifreeze.  The rate-of-leakage may have increased since back when I last drove the beastie.

Also, you'd need to bring a battery - I'd put in a new one, but then the warranty would be void the minute I sign the car over....

I might have to stop and take a look at this one day, you're right around the corner from me...I really don't want to tell you I'm looking for a parts car...but I kinda am...for MY black '88 Sport.

Eeek, well, I *did* sort of cringe at the thought, but . . is yours also a red-interior car by any chance?

No, it's grey...but it's in piss-poor condition courtesy of a massive sun-roof leak that was ignored for years by the previous owner.  I honestly don't have the money for it myself and can't really afford to have a car sit around...that and I don't feel right parting a good runner.  If you still have it in a few months I may be interested, but at that price I think it will move.
