1st off thanks for the positive comments.  I'm glad we have converted you to Fox body T-birds/Cougars now!  :burnout:

Let me just say that it does take a lot of time, patience, and yes money to get one of these cars fixed up or modified to where you want it.  I understand 100% how it is to not have the money to get your car painted.  What you see in my thread has been accomplished by saving money over several years just for this paint job.  The rest of the car has mainly been put together with junk yard or ebay parts scrounging.  You also have to keep in mind we are working with cars that are 20+ yrs old with little aftermarket support so it does get frustrating...but most of all its fun and totally worth it by having something different.  I am sure everyone else on the forum will agree with me.

Keep it up you have a good looking T-bird!  Just keep it up...and trust me the more time you spend on this forum the more you will want to work on the car.:D

I think you should be commended for saving your Cougar...I am really enjoying watching your progress.

My window tint was done by me with film I bought at a local parts store.  I did a pretty average job (plus it was cheap tint and is starting to turn purple) so I need have it redone this summer.  Every time I try to tint windows I just end up pissed off...so I will just have to pay a pro.  The back window is a killer!  I think all new 20% tint will really finish her off on the outside.

I'm hoping to have my windows tinted soon.I still have some other things to do first. It is best to have a pro do it,and give a warranty.Only use tint friendly cleaner.Windex and like cleaners are wicked harmful to tint.

50tbrd88, Like Vinnie said "your tinted windows look great" and we had our Cougar windows tinted by a (pro) and received a Lifetime Warranty to replace if they start to fade or come off. ;)

Hey guys just an update.  I have started ordering parts for the next phase of my project.  As you all may know I acquired a 5.0 HO out of a '91 MN12 T-bird awhile back.  Originally I was planning on swapping motors...but now have decided to just use all the HO specific parts from the donor motor to do a HO conversion on my original SO motor.  There is nothing wrong with my original motor and I don't plan to abuse, drag race heavily, etc so I think it should live for a long time.  Plus (even though I bought it off a co-worker) I have no idea what type of life the donor motor has led and the last thing I want to do is to pull a good motor and drop a junk one in its place.

So far I have in my possesion or have ordered:
1.) 5.0 HO computer (speed density)
2.) fox mustang HO intake
3.)Chuck W motor mounts
4.) complete fel-pro gasket set
5.) Pro-Form smog pump delete kit
6.) BBK 1515 headers
I plan to order a BBK h-pipe soon as well.  I also will be doing a 5.0 HO fuel pump.  I am contemplating buying a new distributor too as mine is original.  What do you guys think and what would you recommend?  Anything else I am missing?  Keep in mind it will basically be a 5.0 HO w/headers and probably bumped timing.  I am really excited about this phase of the project.  Even though it will basically be a stock Mustang motor the added performance should be great! :burnout:
