Here is a video my brother shot for me today.  Did a little hole shot!  Sorry about the shaky part at then end..

hey guys i have a little question  (by the way nice bird 50!!)
im getting a new exhaust soon and the guy is making it from stainless steel
and i really want that angle cut tailpies look just like the 5.0 mustangs

so i feel like i have 2 options having him weld jones exhaust tips that are 24 inches long
                                                        OR
having him extend the stainless steel tailpipe till the bumper at right lenght  and then polish it off to a mirror finish look

thing is i dont know how to do it lol    what do you guys think  how easy or hard would it be to polish stainless steel to a mirror finish, also would it last?  or will it discolor form carbon oxide or idk    and the ultimate question  how to polish it to a mirror finish

ps since id rather not relocate the fuel filter i was given the advice to put hushpower lers  the car will undergo a true dual system with h pipe and probably custom headers  you guys think those ies would sound good? considering the car is a 3.8

I'm truly jealous of your car man.

1986 ELAN:

Go with a 5.0 before all that...I wouldn't waste the money on 3.8 exhaust. Save itfor 5.0. I removed the ler from mine and it sounds pretty decent. Drive it like that until you can get your 5.0. That's my plan.

Not trying to be a smartass here...but go to the proper area, start your own thread, and post an exhaust question.  I'd say you might get more responses than posting it within another thread.  If you ask me I'd agree with RunninWild...a 3.8 with loud exhaust can sound pretty awful.  You have to choose your setup wisely or it could end up sounding like a tin can fart.

thats pretty much encouraging guys  let me refresh yall memories  im still poor student and cant afford a new engine plus the labour and all that  plus id rather put a bigger engine later on in life when i do a full restoration to it

dose not matter how much money u have. im doing a v8 swap on one of my cars and its not the much work to do. just time consoming. im going to have about 3grand when im done with it but thats paint and all.

Snapped another couple of pictures of the car after waxing it today.  As you can see I need to get my back window re-tinted.



I would have took more but the little neighbor girl decided to practice hitting baseballs...towards my car.  I made a hasty retreat to the garage!  Neighbors are a PITA sometimes.
