Best Year Range 429s October 09, 2006, 02:59:44 PM I am thinking about dropping a 429 in my cat but I need the best year ranges of that engine. Best Year Range 429s Reply #1 – October 09, 2006, 03:09:06 PM It was mainly the heads and compression that sucked them down in their later years which you would most likely replace if you were building it up.Why not go for the readily available 460? Quote Selected
