Computers & Equipment FS - UPDATED

Got some of my old computer stuff for sale; everything is in perfect working order (except for minor things as noted in the ads). I'll work with pricing for board members. All prices don't include shipping...we'd have to work that out.

Here are the direct links to my Craigslist ads:

Power Mac G4/350 (w/500 MHz upgrade), extensive upgrades - $300 OBO

Microtek ScanMaker 5900 USB Scanner - $40

Umax Astra600S SCSI Scanner - $35 OBO

Thanks for looking!

I may be interested in another USB drive case, (if you still have another) when I get my Satellite. receiver.

Hmmm....I was kind of saving it for the same thing LOL. I'm getting a receiver upgrade myself in a few weeks. Well, I don't have a drive for it, and I need to get one anyhow, so I might just splurge and get myself a pre-assembled drive case for a change. I'll let you know.

That's funny, I was also thinking the same thing after I posted that,
I've got 1 extra 30 gig left. Figured It would get a little use that way.
What are you using for a Sat. service? I'm going FTA

I have Dish Network, customer for over 4 years now, excellent service, never had an issue. In fact the installers told me that my yard had their absolute highest reception they'd ever seen. Only thing that will make the picture cut out is VERY heavy rain, and even then it's only out for maybe 15-20 minutes max. Otherwise it's always on whenever I need it.

Anyway...I'm doing the HD (and matching DVR) upgrade now that they've changed their channel and pricing structure and it's a lot more affordable now. The new DVR will let me add the external drive for bonus storage.

Actually...now that I think of it...I'm using the spare drive and case on my new computer right now LOL.

I'm going to try FTA, I got a free dish from a friend, just need a receiver. I figure with my computer background, It's worth the $140 for the dvr box.

Ok Eric, you know me, I'm clueless about computer stuff sometimes... will either scanner work with my laptop, running Vista? I have an HP Pavillion.
Thanks!

For the Microtek scanner it doesn't appear that there is a Vista driver, although there is one for XP: http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=17

The other scanner (Umax) uses a SCSI connection, won't work.

Therefore, you can see the reasons why I'm selling them... ;)

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
