Re: My 1987 Sports Coupe Thunderbird Reply #4 – November 17, 2004, 10:46:49 PM Quote from: lowcatgotta love the lowered stance *shudders* Some of the speedbumps around here se between the wheels on even my stock bird, I'll probably never let it go lowerWhat color is the paint? It doesn't look as dark as the moulding so I'm guessing it isn't true black. Quote Selected
Re: My 1987 Sports Coupe Thunderbird Reply #5 – November 17, 2004, 11:51:35 PM I can't clear most speedbumps so I just go real slow and hope nothing important falls off I can only imagine what his would to to a speed bump Quote Selected

Re: My 1987 Sports Coupe Thunderbird Reply #7 – November 18, 2004, 08:08:53 AM Looks great. Very clean. If I had a black 'Bird, that's pretty much how I'd want it to look. Can't agree on the "gotta love the lowered stance", though.. I mean as if it's an automatic thing to love. I'm not real wild about lowering on vehicles in general. Modest lowering on a Bird looks OK to me, say an inch or so. Quote Selected

Re: My 1987 Sports Coupe Thunderbird Reply #9 – November 18, 2004, 03:34:52 PM Thanks for comments! As for paint, it's stock... with some good polishing :) The hood sucks though... all the more reason to get a TC hood As for stance, it looks awesome... functionally... it sucks. Those are Mustang springs (Many people say you can't go with Mustang lowering springs in the heavier Tbird... I did ) I also have Koni Mustang rear shocks. They have about 1" of travel. But I need them because they are super stiff so the rear doesn't bounce or s the fenders (because of the lowering). I'm going to be making clear corners as well as something custom I thought up for the grill... :) Quote Selected

I'll be looking forward to seeing what you think up for the grill as I can't imagine what one would look like (being that all you ever see is the stock grill or tc nose)So is that factory "black" paint? If its black, I may use your car in some photoshops in the future to see how certain things would look. 2 weeks until graduation from college means I get to have more money to spend on the car :D Quote Selected

Re: My 1987 Sports Coupe Thunderbird Reply #12 – November 18, 2004, 04:47:52 PM I know what I like and I know what I don't like. Whether or not that coincides with the likes and dislikes of others doesn't really concern me too much. :p Quote Selected
