cruise cable question

the cruise cable (head) inserts up into an opening at the throttle body and is held in place how?  is there a slip on clip of some sorts?

i will dig through the shop manuals while someone maybe answers this.

Their is a clip that holds the cruise cable to the plastic housing/bracket that clips to the throttle cable. You can adjust the cruise cable position a bit in each direction by removing the clip, sliding the cable fore or aft, and putting the clip back in.

i found a reference to the clip in the shop manuals, the pn for the six cyl is different than 4 or 8 cyl,, but no pic showing the 8 cyl.  i think there is a typo because lucky for me this special clip was still on my six cyl gas pedal cable, it fits my v8 cable to hold down the cruise cable perfectly.

thanks!

It's kinda hard to describe but pretty self explanatory if you have one to look at :hick:

I had to adjust the position of the cruise cable in relation to the bracket on my car. The factory adjustment was too tight when I installed the 70mm throttle body. It wouldn't allow the throttle to shut all the way. Removing that little clip and moving the cruise cable solved the issue.

installed, all good.

the shop manuals are incorrect on the pn for the clip though.
