It's not that uncommon, at least here.The paint may or may not match up exactly. Usually automotive paint has several variations in the production run. Body shops usually have paint chips with the known variations and codes to match the different shades of the same color. Also being the paint on your 20th is 30 years old it's probably faded a bit. 20th anny dupli color for code 2H Reply #3 – August 22, 2017, 12:37:25 PM I can't answer that, but I can tell you this: I resprayed a panel a few months ago with Dupont Chroma base. I could NOT get it to pop. It kept drying in a somewhat matte finish style. Extremely frustrating as the rest of the car had been painted with it 5 years prior. I had a can of Dupli Color Honda Nighthawk Black laying around that I had never used (code B92P, it was the color I had the car painted) so I figure "It's worth trying."It came out like glass and was a PERFECT match. I put some clear over it and it's been perfect. As stated; if your paint is original it most likely has SOME fading (red fades BADLY compared to most other colors) so take that into consideration.
