AOD floor shifter

Does anyone know where I can get a floor shifter for AOD?  I have one for a TC but apparently that's not going to work (and it doesn't have a handle) .  I went to pic n pull and took an hour pulling one out of Cougar only to find out they wanted to charge me $75 for it (including $7 for the AOD cable bracket).  It wasn't in very good shape anyway so I left it there.  It would be nice to finish out my center console instead of having a big hole in it and get rid of the column shifter.

It was pretty messed up or I would have.

The Turbo Coupe shifter is different than the 5.0 shifter.

They look about the same physically, but the shift detents are different.

I had to swap the TC shifter out for one out of a Sport, so I should have remembered to look to see which style it was.  That mistake is on me.

Yeah, AOD's have 6 positions, A4LD's have 7 positions, but a C3 also had 6, would one from a C3 work?
Current: 1986 Thunderbird, 105k 3.8/C5, 2 tone  Midnight Wine/Medium Taupe, wing windows, wire wheel covers.


Former: 1985 Cougar GS 115k Oxford White/Regatta Blue, 5.0, full console, 14" 8 hole aluminum T-Bird rims, Edelbrock valve covers.

I am not sure. I'd wait til you can get the right part for these cars.

Yeah.  I have a TC shifter already.  Need the sport or Cougar AOD.  Bummer.
