Red 88 XR7

Or RX-7 ;) http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/4331485558.html

He's probably asking a bit much. Local to me though. Too bad I don't really have the space/extra money for another toy.

Sad that it's being driven...probably for the first or maybe second even third time...in the salt. Can't save 'em all! And there's plenty out there too owned by people that think they're in the same league as a Buick GN. So that's good. Depending on condition, not *stratospheric* in price. Guarantee he'd take $2500. Already see some obvious flaws to point out, if one wanted to be a meanie lol....

...and the first thing, though making sweeping generalizations is not nice and is dangerous, is that experience warns that a cotton-headed ninny-muggins put that goofy black ubiquitous car alarm loudspeaker in there, and half-assed everything in between it and the parts of the vehicle that Ford installed.

I suppose that's ONE advantage I can't take away from new cars in the 21st century. If you try and hack up wiring...it's not just a pain in the ass for a future owner. It could very well mean catastrophic destruction for YOU, make and model dependent!

2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

I doubt it's a HO either. It does have some wear but it's definitely not been driven in the salt much before.

As for hack wiring you should see the job on the dealer installed sunroof on my Mark VII. Scotch lock connectors and masking tape ftw!

The alt looks new, but the ac brackets are cougar bird. if I swapped a h.o. Motor straight out of a 92 stang, it would be mass air and at least have the h.o. plaque.

I'm calling bs on the stang motor. 95% seller isn't a car guy, or doesn't know the.difference.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Do I have the only Fox with those things intact? Every other one I see has these parts cracked to hell.

Another one worth saving...gears are turning. Oh my, and I don't even like the c-pillars of the Cat cars one bit.

Hmmmm. Not to worry, if this one comes to Laclede, Missouri, it WILL have an HO in it in by the following weekend. :)

Of course, one or two other cars will go bye bye if it comes to be. Lou, did you check it out in person? Wonder how well it runs and drives, and if it would make the trip....hmmm.

I haven't looked at it. I don't have the fundage/space for it so I haven't contacted the guy.
