I was JUST about to go to the couch.....

...and I thought I'd check Ebay real quick. Just scored an NOS hood release cable for $30.00 shipped. That is all.

They are fragile. I took one off of a car a couple years ago, and broke it as I was nearly done. Might be something to start snagging up in the yards...

You gotta stay on ebay all the time. You never know when goodies are gonna pop up, and if you aren't there to snag them when they do, you can rest assured that some other car nut will be. I've found several extremely rare parts I've needed just by being on at the exact right time.

On another note, I am really thinking that the MN-12 cables would swap. I'm going to try and get one and test it.

Vinnie, I can test it for you...ex wife left her '89 'Bird here when we split in 2006...I don't think she'd mind if I borrowed a part off of it to compare...seeing as how she told me I could have the  car for s if i wanted to mess with it.

Be wednesday before i can get to it though, since tomorrow is my 10 hour day.

if you have the cable do you also have the handle for it i need both maybe we could work something out if you willing to part with it

The cable comes with the handle. It's still in the sealed Ford bag and should be here today.

I hadn;t thought about selling it. It was a killer find, and mine is broke. I have an extra in the garage. I may install the extra one during the body work, and shelve the NOS piece for the future. How often do you see a new one? Or a new anything anymore?
