I honestly think Michael Moore is either the dumbest person on the face of the planet, or really wanted Bush to win. If he had half a brain, he'd know that every time he opened his mouth, he probably pushed dozens (conservative estimate) of people to Bush's side. It got to where I was hoping he wouldn't say anything just so he wouldn't screw up chances of getting Bush out of there any more than he already had.

Im not rubbing it in anyones face, just stating the facts. If facts offend then Im sorry. Im also a young voter, 22, and I still hold fast to conservative morals. So please dont stereotype young voters.  :) Its election day, a political thread is very appropriate I would think.  :dunno:

We already had a political thread going. You really don't have much excuse for this thread, no matter how you try to sugar-coat it.

I'm sure the families of the dead civilians in Iraq are very appreciative of your "conservative morals"..

Yeah, Bush.  I never thought I would see the day when men weren't interested in BUSH.  :tg:

I am tickled to see Bush elected.

Add "war with Iran" to that list.. and maybe also Syria. Iran's the one that worries me, though.. if they really are buying these Sunburn missiles from the Russians. They'd be in a position to block off all traffic into and out of the Persian Gulf for months, including (and especially) Navy and oil tanker traffic.

Wow....if you want to flame me for starting a political thread, then go ahead. If Kerry would have won, then Im sure those that supported him would be boastfull too. Dont act like Democrats didnt have 8 years of Clinton. It all balances out in the end.

Secondly, I dont need an excuse for a thread. I personally dont care if you agree/disagree with this thread. I wont lose sleep over it. THe content of the thread isnt offensive unless your a sore loser.  :dunno:

Also, I live in Va, which is made up of many military families. Ironically, that is why Va continues to vote Republican. This state relies on the jobs provided by military funding. I also know many military families personally, and they pull for Bush. When you choose to join the military, you should be fully aware of the dangers and responsibilites involved. Its a choice. Now for those that think the draft will be reinstated, thats nonsense. That theory was introduced by the dems to scare away young voters. MTV really pushed that idea of that says anything.

OK, it was old the second time you tried it.

This thread needs locking at the very least or deleting at best.. although this time I won't be the one asking for it to be dealt with. We already had one political thread, and this was just redundant and more likely than the other thread to cause arguments.

One of the reasons this place is usually so decent, in my opinion, is that the political stuff rarely pops up here. (not saying it never does.. but far less than most boards) This is a very divisive period in our history.. just about ANY political discussion is bound to turn ugly if it lasts long enough. The only other board I can think that compares to this one, in terms of keeping that stuff to a minimum, is a Ford inline 6 forum I visit that explicitly discourages (read: forbids) political and religious discussions. (they slipped in one poll yesterday about what issues drove people to vote, but it was heavily moderated and I think several posts were deleted)

So far, I've kept the gloves on, even if barely. I'm running fresh out of tolerance for people that frankly, I feel betrayed this country by re-electing the worst president in my lifetime (and hell, I was around for Nixon.. even if just a baby at the time) and one of (if not the) worst presidents in history.

So if you REALLY are trying to keep things from exploding around here, you may want to abandon the "I love cars" tack and go for the "please lock or delete this thread" stuff. It only goes downhill from here.

And the Kerry backers would've been just as wrong and tacky as you have been by making a thread like this.

And again I ask, HOW am I a sore loser, (which yes, I find this thread's presence offensive) when I didn't vote for Bush OR Kerry? I knew my candidate wasn't going to get elected. I know far too many people in this country aren't brave enough to vote outside the 2 party nonsense. Voting for "the lesser of two evils", which is the way many people say they vote these days, is still voting for evil.. but apparently that's too big a concept for most people. As far as I know, there's no law written that says you people have to choose between those two clowns.

Bush is a phony. He pretends to be a conservative but does little to actually advance conservative agendas.. and spends like a liberal. He pretends to be a born-again, but can't even be bothered to go to church when presidents before him (even the cigar-wielding pervert) could find plenty of time to do.

Kerry is a loser. He pretty much based his campaign on NOT being Bush. Well, when you define your position by the deeds of one other person, you really can't be much else. The only upside to Kerry is that he could've been easily held in check by a Republican Congress and not had much chance to do any real damage to the country. Now Bush can run roughshod over what's left of the Constitution and get us into a couple new and unnecessary wars to boot.

Lastly, what does 8 years of Clinton have to do with me? I'm not a Demo. I'm a registered Independent that tends to support the Libertarian Party.

Your foolish and if the volunteers get thin enough i will be one of the first waves to go fight, im 19 also work in a factory that happens to be moving to MEXICO in two months because of bush's assanine policys. Bush is weak and moronic lets send jobs out of the country and give those companys tax breaks. I dont personally like the idea of some mexican getting paid about 3 dollars an hour to do what i do for 9.

I think if I lived in the US I'd vote independent. By what I observe from "outside the box", Neither Bush or Kerry woulda gotten my vote.
