Power Seat Motor

Looking for a good drivers side power seat motor.  Mine has the 6-way seats if that makes any difference.

From what I've found online, I believe it to be a part #:E6SF-14547-BA.

I have a couple sets of power seat tracks. I'd be willing to pull one apart for you. Do you know how to test it? I'm getting a roof put on my garage and everythings covered up at the moment so I cant get to it right now but if you can wait I'll let you know when I can.

OK no big rush.  Yeah I need to pull the seat and check the motor and tracks out.  It could be that the tracks are gummed up and the motor is just weak enough it won't move it.

I probably have one or two in the garage.  Probably an earlier motor, though.

Chuck do you know if the older 83-86 tracks work on a 87-88?  I did notice they are different part #'s so I was not sure.

Couldn't say offhand.  My newest one has been an '85.  I don't see why they wouldn't.  Floor pans are the same, and the seats would bolt up.  Might be a connector difference, or something of that ilk.

Thanks, I agree I don't really see what would be different.  I've found some for sale but most seem to be the earlier part #.

I had 87 power seats swapped into an 86. Can't remember if I did any wiring work though.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
