AOD Problems... PROBLEM FIXED Reply #15 – April 17, 2012, 05:03:24 PM Ok, there's absolutely nothing in the way, or rubbing or hitting.... But....... I found a nice pic of the TV linkage, and mine was not connected exactly the same...so I switched some things around, and I'm gonna give it another test run....Hope it was something that simple....I'll report back shortly.Daminc out Quote Selected

AOD Problems... PROBLEM FIXED Reply #23 – April 21, 2012, 03:14:07 PM lol.... I worked real late last night.....I installed the TV cable ...... still not working better, but way better then the old cable......went to get a new O-ring for the dipstick tube, and said, "what the hell, I'm going to use the original dip stick"filled it using the fluid I just drained, and added almost 2 more quarts to get it up to the full mark. Now everything is working the way it should be... guess the AOD out of a super coupe takes 2 more quarts then the others.... Who knewSo this concludes the AOD portion of the show.... now I got another problem.... Sounds like a pump somewhere under the hood is running dry after the car is running for about an hr or so.. not sure what it is, but is sounds like bearings grinding real bad.... Oh the fun of rebuilding a car from the bottom up Quote Selected
AOD Problems... PROBLEM FIXED Reply #24 – April 23, 2012, 07:51:12 AM Jumping in late here, but the fluid level in my car is much higher than the mark when cold. It goes down after starting. I believe in my case it is because I have the aux cooler mounted so high that the fluid subsequently drains back when it's parked. It leaked like crazy until I put on a new fill tube seal. Glad things are working out for you! Quote Selected
AOD Problems... PROBLEM FIXED Reply #25 – April 23, 2012, 08:48:55 AM As long as we, are on the subject still.... What coolers are everyone using? Is there any diff between your basic trans cooler and the $200 coolers that they have? Also, should you connect it along with the rad, or on it's own? and should it have it's own cooling fan?I have your basic cooler, but I disconnected it when I was trying to solve the AOD shifting problems. I thought it may have been clogged, and connected the lines to the rad. I'd still like to use it, but was just wondering if the basic unit was worth it, or should I upgrade Quote Selected

Fluid out from trans, thru rad cooler then through the add-on cooler. Quote Selected
