I appreciate any comments/opinions from either side of the fence, as long as it doesn't get "mean". I never intended this thread to be an attack, just a means to productively end this deal. I can only go by the facts I have to deal with from a buyer's standpoint. If one sells anything at all, then you are also taking on the responsibility to make sure that whatever it was that was bought gets where it should go in a timely manner. Communication is key. I know what it's like to have things happen in life, unexpected things that take us by surprise, and, I can understand a purchase from the forum being late, but, how long is "late"? How long until you have to say "enough is enough, make it happen"? Really, I'm not asking for anything but what I bought and paid for. I'm a realistic guy. I don't set high expectations on people. I've asked the question, "what would you do if you were on my side of it?".

Here's the way the payment went down....I asked for the Pay-Pal address. He stated that he didn't use PayPal for a reason I honestly can't remember and that I needed to send a money order to his mom who manages the finances. He gave me a name and an address. I said O.K., because, I've asked many to send PayPal payments to me as a gift to save the PayPal charges. Everyone here is more than happy to do that, so, I figured I'd send the payment as he requested. I had the receipt in my checkbook until last week when my checkbook and all that was in it (driver license, debit card, some cash, a check I hadn't cashed from a parts sale, and some misc.) was stolen. So, no idea the details on it. It was a Postal Money Order, so, perhaps they could find it in the system. Who knows?. Generally, I prefer PayPal for the security, and speed of the payment. At the time of payment, I had no reason not to trust Shadow. I didn't know there had been past issues.

They charge the person who receives the payment. That's why, with people I know I can trust, I'll send it as a gift. They get the full amount, but if you're scammed, you're up a creek.

You should see if the post office can trace it for you. Of course without the reciept they might not be able to. But it's worth a shot.

Postal Money Order = pretty much INSTANT MAIL FRAUD should you decide to follow up on it here
