I got the job of a life time!!! March 10, 2011, 08:13:15 PM I just got a job with Mylan Pharmaceuticals in Morgantown West Virgina. They're a generic drug co. They're actually #2 in the country and are world wide. They said 1 out of every 11 generic drug subscriptions are filled with drugs made at Mylan. I've never worked at such a huge place or with so many people! I believe there's over 2000 people at this plant alone! It's one of the most sought after places to work in this area. The pay is incredable and the benefits are great too! And once I'm there 18 months I'll be making more money than I ever thought possable especially since I only have a high school education! I'm very excited about it but I'm also getting a little overwhelmed. There's so much to take in and learn it's nuts! Just trying not to get lost is a feat in it's own. This has been my first week and today I got to watch some of the process and tommarow I'll actually have to suit up and be in the room with them mixing the product. It's very interresting to watch! Getting this job is like hitting the lottery! It's that good! I just wish I could get past feeling nervous all the time! Quote Selected

I got the job of a life time!!! Reply #9 – March 11, 2011, 04:50:10 PM Thanks everyone!! This really is the best place around here to work, especially for the money and benefits. Plus so far everyone seems to be really nice. Today was my first day to actually be working. It was very interresting to be in there mixing all the ingreedents together. It's still a bit overwhelming but it'll be worth it.No Dan it's not looking like it's going to happen this year. I have to wait a year to get vacation time. But once I do I'll have 2 weeks. I gave up 4 weeks of vaca to get this job, but like I mentioned before it'll be worth it. Quote Selected

I got the job of a life time!!! Reply #11 – March 12, 2011, 12:08:20 AM Good to hear this news, finding a real job now is signs that something is cutting lose in the economy. Gearing up for nationalized health care may be one of them but who knows. Either way, you reap the rewards. Im happy for you. Quote Selected

Thanks, It is really pretty in this area and you're right about the roads they're defenately full of curves. Morgantown is so built up now and still growing I don't think you could hear the banjos if you wanted to. lol!! It's funny though because when my buddy and I went to pick up the Sport we were back in an area that I was listening very closely for them lol!! Quote Selected

I got the job of a life time!!! Reply #14 – March 13, 2011, 06:06:38 PM Congrats on the new job bro. I was as excited as you when I got the job I have now. I work for a company called Simplex-Grinnell, we service, repair and install fire sprinkler systems, alarms, suppression...etc. I was 18 when I started as an apprentice/helper, (I'm almost 23 now) and I love it. I especially love all the time off they give us (2 weeks paid vac. and one week of personal time plus 14 paid holidays - to start - every 5 years you get an extra week of vacation). I just found out last Friday that when we start this big job we got (It's a semi-conductor plant that makes solar panels) they are gonna bump me up to a Foreman and let me run my own guys, under the lead Foreman, of course, but still, I'm excited now too lol. I hope you do well at your new job, it's sounds like a pretty cool place to work. Quote Selected
