Which headers?

I'm about to drop in a 302 with world windsor jr heads into my 80 Tbird. I want to run longtubes. The openings in the s have to clear the opening of the exhaust port. I have a BFH in case something needs persuasion, but hope to find something that sorta fits. Any ideas?

What transmission?

What's your budget?
I've been researching some header design info regarding collector length and primary tube orientation as they enter the collector.  Interesting stuff to say the least.  You want them to enter the collector in a rotational pattern and NOT a criss-cross.....
Passenger side:  1-3-2-4
Driver Side:  7-6-5-8
at least for the HO/351/modulars anyway :hick:

A picture of what you DON'T want to happen

Most header companies wind up getting one side right and the other wrong.....Why?
Space constraints/cost/time involved.

ARH makes a nice set of long tubes and a catted x-pipe  for the S-197 with the proper rotational order, a good collector, and quality material.  Price?  $1500.

It all comes back to how mauch you want to spend/how much room under your hood/how hellbent you are for every last bit of power.  Weigh those 3 out and you'll have your answer....

Thanks for the post. AOD trans. I'm mostely concerned with finding a set that physically fit in my car and don't block the exhaust port or spark plugs, although I have a grinder.

It's a fox body. Looks like my other fox fords under the hood and underneath. I'm thinking some long tubes for a Mustang w/ aod would probably work, but I was hoping someone may have done this to a box Bird and save me some misery:D

I put WWJR heads in my 302 rebuild.  But I used the factory Shorties.  They line up exactly the same as the stock locations.  So I would imagine any LTs that fit the stock heads and body will work.

PS I love the WWJR heads.  For the price I got mine for, it was a very good $ to kick in the pants ratio.
