Signal from speed sensor

Hi guys. I would like to test an electronic speedometer at home out of the car. Can anyone tell me what type of signal - square, sine,... goes from speed sensor? How many volts? If somebody have a pocket osciloscope, it will be great to take a picture of the signal.
Thanks a lot.

Ahhh a easy one... Especially since I had a speed sensor on the bench and a old B&K scope above it on the shelf...

Signal is roughly 15v PP but varies with speed, had it chucked up in a variable speed drill running approx 800-900RPMs...
