Valve cover question

There's a pair of stock, aluminum 5.0 valve covers I found that are in great shape, except the baffle is missing from under the filler neck.  Are there any easy ways to put some kind of a baffle in there?    The guy selling them doesn't have the baffle any more.  I don't want to have oil in my intake, so I definitely want to have a baffle in there.  Thanks for any help on this guys.

I had to remove the baffle and cut some of the mount to clear my roller rockers, never had a problem...

I agree with TC.  I can look down into the filler and see my rockers.  No problem yet.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

I don't know guys.  I've read a lot of guys say they didn't have any problems with oil being sucked into the TB, but I've also read where a lot of guys did have that problem.  I don't suppose either of you still have your baffle and the screws that hold the baffle into the cover would you?  I just found out about those screws.  If I could get them and someone's unused baffle, I'd be good to go.  Since I'm not using aftermarket roller rockers, I might as well use a baffle and know that I won't have any issues.

Get one of those metal "for sale" signs,and cut out a new baffle and use some small self tapping screws to install it.Shouldn't take more than 10 or 15 minutes to make one and drill 3 small holes for the screws.Very simple baffle.

ive got a set of stock valve covers they have the ford emblom stamped on em that ill sell ya for cheap,,,they are primered and ready for paint

I ran valve covers without a baffle for awhile and have not had an oil consumption issue.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

I found out that my local Home Depot sells small sheets of aluminum Vinnie, so I'm gonna cut a baffle-sized piece out of one of those sheets and use self tapping screws like you suggested and call it a day.  Thanks for the idea.  :D

Thanks for the offer, but I want to use stock, aluminum 5.0 valve covers.  I found a pair here in Columbus that I'm gonna go buy tomorrow.

You're welcome.I'm going to make one for my valve cover that I have on the new engine as well.I won't be using it,but someone will when I'm finished with the swap.Snap a pic.

I did what vinnie said-except I used a sode can. It's been on my Mustang about 5 years now like that.
