That's the mount for the horizontal(quad) shocks...


You should be able to use the quad shocks on your car with the brackets that bolt to the rear frame rails.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.
