I have driven one 86 a buddy had a while back and now that I own my 88 Sport I dont really see that much of a difference but I can say that the Sport handles MUCH better than my Mustang. I love my Sport!

*Im gonna get a bumper sticker that says that* lol

i drive an 88 cougar every day, i've had it a year now and have put almost 30,000 miles on it. with the exception of an alternator and two fuel pumps it has performed reliably

i was curious if they rode better or about the same.

I have owned 17 of the 87-88 TC models over the years. So much better ride than the base, small sway bar, weak springs, small brake 83-84's I have. The 84 I have has a real mushy ride compared to the 87 TC.

Strangely, I have never owned a 87 or 88 Sport  V-8 models tho.
