WANTED: Fuel gauge sending unit for a 1987 20th ann. Cougar. with digital dash...

Is the fuel gauge an buttstuffog on it? I assume it should be, not digi?
I may have one for sale in about a week.

And your sure it's the sender, and not a wiring problem?

5.0 HO 306 roller block, machined GT-40P heads, Wiseco dished forged pistons, Eagle forged floating I-beam connecting rods, Lunati pushrods, ARP bolts, Scorpion aluminum 1.6 rockers, Comp Cams Magnum 266HR, Explorer intake, 65mm TB, MAF Conversion, 19# injectors, Ford Racing stainless P-headers, 2-1/2" cat-less exhaust w/ Flowtech Afterburner lers , SC AOD with 2800 BDR torque converter, 3.73 T-Lok rear, CHE rear control arms, full 2-1/2" frame w/1" jacking rails & seat supports, Rear disk brakes, Turbine wheels, All original interior w/ floor shift upgrade .......
Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

I didn't want to confuse anyone quite yet.
I may mod the one out of the bird and do some testing first.
If it works out 100% through testing, I'll write up a "how to" of the mod.

And if everything is cool, I'll send it to someone, for real world bug testing, as it would take me a year to use 1 tank of gas in the car I put it in.
I've been driving this vert around since I got it here, filled the tank and I still have 3/4 left. That was since March.

Mine has is all digital dash.... all the 20th ann. had them from what i've seen and what I was told....

Did you test it, or the wiring, before you determined the sender was bad?

Dont know if this would help or not but I have a tank out of a 85 Cougar with a sending unit in it, it was a buttstuffog guage(I think) I dont know if it works or not but if one of you guys wants one to mess around with it let me know and I will take it out.

I found an 88 cougar in a junk yard.... I'll have to go an recheck it .... I can't remember if it was digital dash...... actually they 3 of these cars.... They even had a 87 turbo coupe... The whole car........
