'88 TC auto....formerly known as the money pit...SOLD!!!!!!! June 06, 2009, 10:03:41 AM -ok, this won't be short......i have been contemplating what to do with this car. i have not done anything to it the last 5 months. Because with my dad's low mile '87 i have and the '83 I picked up last summer, i think its time to let someone else have a go at it. this was a one owner car orginally purchased in Gadsden, Al. it spent all of its time there. it was female owned and she drove it until it lost power and was making noises under the hood and floorboard. turns out, turbo wheel shaft broke in 2 places. wheels were just rattling around. as you can see its white, it has the red leather interior. seats are in good shape. i'll try to remember to get a photo of the inside to post also. the pics show the car as it is now. i have ALL the removed parts. took the nose off when working on the engine so as not to break the beak. i ended up having to take the engine out, and now am transplanting it into the '83, as it has a blown head gasket in between the cylinders and is losing all the water in the exhaust. i had this one almost ready, so it was just the easier thing to do. so with that being said, this is how the car will come, just as you see it pictured. a rolling chassis. BUT here is what u will get also. the front suspension has been updated with the later 96/ mustang cobra lower control arms with the correct ball joints.(thats $295 there) poly spring bushings also. and a reman steering gear, with new tierods. it has CHE rear arms on it, BUT I will be keeping them to put on the '83. but the rear axle has been rebuilt(and painted) and a new rear cover put on. now, i had the A4LD rebuilt by a local guy who does have some experience with some drag C4s. he put in a shift kit and upgraded some of the internals with some Explorer pieces he had extra. now IF you want the trans, fine, if you don't fine. it will be up to you. its will be the persons option for it. you may have other plans for it. the snowflakes are gone, because i had Ponys for it. (on the '83..:hick:) so thats why it has the 14" 8 holes on it. this car is solid. i mean solid. rust free(ok, some SURFACE rust here and there...nothing bad) no dents anywhere, not been wrecked, and i do have a clear Alabama title to it. you will get everything that came off of it except the motor, and prolly some extra because i'll want to make sure you get everything. (its mostly like sway bar, brake calipers, backing plates, hood cable, etc)....and the nose of course. i'll throw in some new taillights i have for it, and anything else i may find i have. so, i'm sure you are tired of reading and saying to yourself, i bet he wants X amount of money for this. well yes.....i would like to, but i need to move it out of my driveway. so, with that, this is the price. i will take any and all offers you may have. whom ever offers the most will get it. not trying to do any Evil-Bay here, just offering up to those who will use it for something other than s. they're paying about $150 at the junkyard and i think its about $7 a hundred for s here. but id rather see it built or used to rebuild someones car they are doing. so any questions, reply here, PM me, or call my cell at 256-223-9809 and lets talk. open to all. thanks.looked like this with the nose & ponys on....... '88 TC auto....formerly known as the money pit...SOLD!!!!!!! Reply #5 – June 19, 2009, 12:42:29 PM -well as bad as i hate to say it, but a "newish" member on here, had me go thru all the motions to buy this thing, and get everything ready and then he gets some girl call to say he's backing out of the deal the day before he's to pick it up!:beatyoass: (of course things can happen, but to go along for 2 weeksm then drop it the day before???) so, with that , i would please entertain anyones offers, or i will sell off what i can and s the rest, as it does have a Title........thanks Quote Selected
