May 20, 2009, 09:08:21 AM the ford parts book list the tbird, cougar and mustangthrottle valve cable as the same #. are they the same?ford lists it as obsolete. does anyone still have these orare there aftermarket ones. just wanted to have an extra.thanks for any help.--irv Quote Selected
tv cable ? Reply #1 – May 20, 2009, 09:36:47 AM The setup for a column shift is different than the floor shift... The column setup uses a shorter cable and some linkage... The floor is just one continual cable from the TB to the tranny, guessing Mustangs use same(all the fox Stangs I've owned were 5 speed)... Quote Selected

tv cable ? Reply #4 – May 20, 2009, 04:43:36 PM The floor shift T.V. cable is indeed the same between the Cougar, Thunderbird and Mustang. I had to order one once and it cross-referenced. The E7ZZ number indicates it's for an '87 Mustang anyway. Quote Selected
