Wow, I had to hover the mouse over the clock to make sure it wasn't April 1. Though I've never been to one, it's sad the economy has taken another victim.

Thanks Eric.
It just leaves us more time to make plans for the next one.

The economy...it's not fully to blame, but it is a major factor. For me it's been the STRESS from the economy that I've had to deal with, both with partints and myself. I have to consider all people and all things before making any kind of decision. For a few months I've been wrestling with this...I just didn't see a good outcome, no matter what angle I tried. This just wasn't the year for it.

No problem here.  I didn't want to not go but I also didn't want to take a half-prepared car so this relaxes me a bit too, giving me a whole year (if I'm around) to get this car ready.

I'm sure things will work out for you and another year will fly by for everyone and it will be July 2010 before we know it.
"lol.. because not too many people care for that style of car"

Jerry, I think having 130581058 Dachshunds all barking at the same time is something only you and Sheila can endure.

Well, to be honest....this sucks. CatJam is the one indulgence I have to look forward to each year. :punchballs:

But I totally understand the reasons. I hope everyone manages to squeeze through these tough times. It WILL get better.

I wasn't gonna go this year for the reason being the economy.  I would hope in the next 60-90 days, things pick up.  I can shoot for next year's CJ with my project now.

I thought is was a joke til I clicked on it. Well makes me feel better about not being able to make it since I always say next year... So now seems like a good time...

Well Im shooting for next year...

Sometimes whats best and necessary sucks balls but if it means CatJam will continue, one year is a little sacrifice.

Eric, my friend - I totally understand where you are coming from, and though sad and disappointed, I applaud your ability to make this decision. I know it was not an easy choice, but for all of the reasons that led you to it, I am sure it is the right one.

I'm gunna miss everyone, but as the saying goes "absence make the heart grow fonder"...so maybe Karen won't feel the need to pick on me so much by the time we see each other again at Cat Jam 2010!
