Wheel removal issue...UPDATE AGAIN.......

Had that problem with my original TRX rims. Not being removed for god knows how long, plus salted winters, and leaking cylinders.

8lb, 10lb whatever hammer you have doesnt weight what your tire and rim weight. If it does I doubt your going to swing it at your car.

With that said I used just that. Grab a rim and tire (with air) with both hands (one around back and one around front) and use your whole body to swing it. Larger contact area, more weight, more force, and there falls the rim.

It's supposed to be nearly 80 here.As far as the Sport having different ideas. No way.She was on my side.I could see tears dripping off the bumper when the wheel wouldn't come off.The disappointment in those headlights was almost more than I could handle.Daddy will make it better.LOL.

:rollin: :rollin: :rollin:  I had a similar problem a few weeks ago, Some reject took the locking lugs of the turbines and replaced them with the wrong size - and they got stuck inside the hole. I feel your pain vin, well, sorta.

hell everytime i see that video i wonder how it happend.  you know, i bet he bought some china steel lug nuts that broke.  i mean what else would cause that other than some evil little devil grimlin running around your car removing lug nuts?!?! poor mazda..

vinnie, when you get the car back, see what the tire tech says about the wheel not coming off. also inspect the rim for damage.. there are smart ways of getting the wheel off, and then there are the stupid easy dont need training way of getting it off. :mullet:

I've just stuck the pry bar, or lug wrench inside a hole in the rim and pryed twoards the car. Course all of my cars have been less then 20 footers, and stock rimmed.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

We use a 4-foot chunk of 6x6 at work. Swing underneath like a baseball bat if the car's on jacks, pile-driver style if it's on the hoist. Even then, I sometimes have to hit the wheel in several spots to work it off. Sandpaper, wire brush and anti-seize afterwards.
