doesn't look to bad other than the paint and the ugly rust spot, always wanted one of these.

do you know what options there are when the air rid goes out?

its a costly repair but can regular struts be installed ,,not sure i am saying it right , you would know better.

I have this page bookmarked,, i have two problems.  Two drivers in the house without cars.  The wife and my oldest boy.  I couldnt bear to see a car like this go to a first time driver and the wife says she likes it.,,she's just too  green for me sometimes. Ie- big car prob eats gas which it does not.

statement of the month falling far from the truth.  Its a wonderful looking mk,, perfect if you ask me based on years of service and survival rate.

I wasn't bashing it just stating that it probably needed paint and a little rust repair. If I was closer and didn't have a car to work on already I'd buy it its in really good shape compaired to what we find those looking like around here.

Struts are standard (T-bird style I guess)
I have not had to replace any of the air suspension stuff, save for those pesky o-rings that connect the 4 air lines to the dryer.

There are those that say it is better to convert to steel springs (cheaper) but kind-of involved. That air suspension kept me from installing big fat rears on that car. (fear of cutting the tires if the air leaks out.)

Also, since this is a Bill Blass model, and I like Turbo Coupe suspensions, this car tends to feel like a waterbed on certain roads. (mushy)  My wife said one time that if we need to go somewhere where the roads are curvy, "can we take the Sable wagon instead" ?

Aside from that, if you convert it to TC suspension, I bet the car would be a blast to drive. (of which I have the TC parts)

P.S. : that 26 mpg is no misprint....didn't believe at first until I did the "refill at the same pump test." :D

Not sure what a 1 g  alt. is. It does however have the big alt. that was standard on these M7s. ( I was thinking 90-100 amps)

I am going to try to sell the car with the factory Bill Blass wheels on it for $ 1,900.

you'll get what you need and posted out of it, just gotta hang in there till summer comes along.

throw a cover over it and rediscover your car in about 10 years.  I always thought that would be kinda neat to do.
