Reply #5 – March 10, 2009, 12:06:53 AM I guess I like lamps too,, or things odd perse'the one on the left is so old, its theme is an arrow (the stand) passing through a broken lightning bolt. I suppose to tribute us being able to harness electricity.The second one on the right is odd and i am not sure what the theme is, it does have a machinest rule molded into the upper portion making a statment of some sort of engineering.the picture below is the socket which shows the end of the socket being threaded. I still have the original lamp shades but they are nasty looking. This type of shade with theads can not be found anywhere. I have tried and tried to find screw on shades but no luck. The sockets are prefectly funcional and are marked with "WE" just like the base of each lamp. I suspect it means "western electric". Now thats gotta be friggin old. Quote Selected

Either way, we are doing a Mountain Lion theme in our bedroom and it will fit nicely. I am however, going to find a different shade for it, as I don't care for the one that came with it.
