Lessee, I got:
  • Forty pounds of lobster (just got done shucking 'em)
  • A pair of 6-ton axle stands (actually opened these more than a week ago when I started the T5 swap)
  • A 20-ton shop press (something I've wanted for years!)
  • A sheet metal brake/bender (God, I love Princess Auto!)
  • OBD-II code reader (my sister got it for me so I could fix her '05 Neon - turned out to be a crank sensor)
  • A pair of Homer Simpson slippers (The dog simply loves these)
  • A new housecoat (may seem girly, but this 100 year old house is drafty as hell)
  • Simpsons Season 11 DVD
  • Family Guy Volume 6 DVD
  • Pearls Before Swine book (The Crass Menagerie)
  • Sherman's Lagoon book (Sharks just wanna have fun)
  • 3 year subscription to Road & Track magazine
  • A T-5 transmission, flywheel, clutch, pedals, 5.0 HO engine, DA1 speed density computer, etc (yeah, I know, I bought it all a month ago, but Christmas was my justification for spending the money :hick:)
  • CD/MP3 player for the Saturn
  • Couple pairs of pants, shirts, etc
  • Some gift cards (may use to buy a DVD player for the T-Bird :D)
2015 Mustang GT Premium - 5.0, 6-speed, Guard Green - too much awesome for one car

Got a nice new Acer Ferrari flat panel from....  Well, from me actually.

And My brother gave me one of his custom, handbuilt guitars. This is actually the third guitar body he built himself and the first neck he built. He was using prebuilt necks before this one.

Strat body, dual humbuckers, hardtail bridge; looks like the perfect guitar. I love the inverted headstock.
What's the action like?

We got a new monitor for the comp, it's a 22" HD widescreen.

We also got some money, some gift cards and baby stuff, and Nicole got me a work coat. I also got a guitar tuner, and some candy, cookies, and chocolate.

I have yet to get her presents, but let's just leave it at this, I'm going ring shopping in the next coupla days ;)

Really, I'm happy to have a healthy family of my own, and good friends and co-workers. I couldn't ask for more than that.

I think that is the result of resizing the pic in Paint. Neck is straight.

Zak, action is pretty good, though my brother prefers the bridge higher than I do. I'll be making adjustments to that soon. He also tends to go for heavier strings than I do, but I've got a new set of Earnie Ball Extra Slinkys here to fix that.

Neck is hardrock maple with a strip of purpleheart and the body is ash with purpleheart, The pick guard is actually inset and glued, 1/4" purpleheart. All this gives this thing incredible sustain and resonance.

The Gibson E-490s give it a great warm, mellow sound that's perfect for the smooth jazz stuff I like to play.

The neck has a late 60's Fender look to it.  (though inverted) Looks pretty good.  I got a 1960 F100....though it's a Christmas ornament.

I almost bought Extra Slinkys the other day, but at the last second I opted for Hybrid Slinkys instead..I normally use regular slinkys.

That's a  way cool axe, I dig it.

I've wanted for a long time to put humbuckers in my Strat. (just didn't want my guitar playin bud's to all holler at me for trying to make a Strat sound like a Les Paul or some such..)

That's funny,
First thing I did to my Les Paul, was make it scream like a strat. LOL

[We did bake our traditional baby Jesus birthday cake yesterday.  This evening as with each year, we took it outside to the deck and sang happy birthday.  Next we usually sit the cake on the rail and wait for a nice wind or breeze to blow out the candle.  A couple of years the candle has been blown out.  Tonight we had to help baby Jesus out a little:D .  Maybe you could join us in this tradition, a couple families we know have been doing so for a couple years now as well.

all those tools you see there were a "search for all under 5$" on harbor freight.

BTW, the little blue thing in the picture there is a drill bit sharpener.  It works great!!!!
