Vinnie, did you reinforce the rear valence after making the exhaust cutouts?

I didn't need to.There are push pin "clips" that hold the cover to the actual bumper, and they are still intact holding everything together nice and tight.

I've been using one since 2004 when the Bullitt Mustang was offered with that door.I saw one at Ford on the Stang, went in and ordered one,had it on the other Bird I had 2 days later. As far as the exhaust goes,I like the car to be different from anyone else's,and I like to think a lot of my ideas are original. Some not.I had never seen the Bullitt fuel door on one of these before mine (Not that it hasn't been done, but as far as I knew,it was my idea for the T-Bird).Same with the exhaust.I spent a lot of time making it just how I wanted it.My Blue Bird had the same concept, different tips.

I did this about 5 years ago,and it lasted until 2 years ago when I started the Sport.....

Was wondering about the structural integrity of the bottom edges, if they flapped in the wind, but I guess you can't tell while you're driving, eh?

They are sturdy.I grabbed them and tried to shake them by hand when I cut the openings,no looseness at all..One could always bond a piece of aluminum or whatever behind the cover (on the back side),which,I thought about, but I found it wasn't necessary. As I said, the push pins do an excellent job holding everything in place nice and tight.

What's the offset of your rims?  I see you were considering more than the 255s but would have to remove the quad shocks.  Your rims look exactly like mine and I have 275s under the back with no clearance problems concerning the quads.

Hey Vinnie, Got your pm first thing this morning. Just got done reading this entire thread, it took me over an hour!! LOL!! Great job!!! I agree with one of the above posts about great minds, I've been using the Bullitt fuel doors since they came out as well. I love the chin spoiler idea, I might want to do that myself sometime, but when asked you'll get the credit for it. Check out my car domain site when you get a chance, I listed alot of the changes I've done on there, I haven't been on this site all that long so I put everything on there. Like you I've tried to do things tastefully, I was going for a muscle car look, that's why I have the cowl induction hood. If you do check it out let me know what you think, you can be honest, I take constructive critisium well. Once again great job!!

Jay,

I'd like to see some good pictures of the louvers you put on your car.  Where did you source them?

I can't take credit for the spoiler on the front, that was added after I read a thread about it.Mine was  anyway, and I needed one, soooooo,Mach 1 chin spoiler it is.

As far as the wheels go,I may not need to remove the quads when I add wider tires,I just haven't checked yet.The offset is whatever it is for Mustang wheels (?).

I had the gas lid painted body color, because, after having it mounted on my blue car for so long,I realized,it looked like a big silver dot on the side of my blue car.It can always be taken back to natural aluminum easily if need be......but probably never will happen.

I have a few more things lined up when I can se up a little time.I did get my fog light harness wired up.....finally.Took all of 5 minutes.I saw the Hells light up after a couple of years in the box on a shelf, then mounted on the car for a few moths and no wiring. The lights were NOS which came with the harness and lights as a set.Got 'em for about $40.00 from Ebay.Lucky late night buy.I'll get pics up as soon as I can get a couple of little tasks performed.

Problem with "Mustang offset" for the wheels is there is a variety of offsets for the Mustangs.
