Has anyone braved the crowds to see Dark Knight? (Possible spoiler alert!!)

I went tonight in the hopes that a late show on a Sunday night might not sell out.  WRONG!  Almost every showing has been sold out since it's midnight showing around here.  A very solid movie.  This is probably the darkest comic book gone movie I've seen.  Check it out if you haven't already!

Absolutely incredible movie. Matched and surpassed Batman Begins in virtually every way. All that Heath Ledger hype... totally validated!

Bought my tickets online about 3 hours early for a 5:30 showing on Sunday.  Walked in the Theater @ 5:35 and found decent seats right away while previews for other movies played for about 10 more minutes after I sat down.

Agreed.
The new Rachel was IMHO a letdown.
Other than that an A+
I wonder who will take up Ledger's torch.  I also wonder if Morgan Freeman's character will return.

My girlfriend and one of her friends went and saw/seen (whicherever tense is accurate..) last Fri. night...I will be going this weekend. She said it kicked total ass, and coming from her, that is saying something, lol.

I've seen the previews to it when we saw Get Smart and Hanpen 15, both decent movies in their own right...but..I DO want to see the newest Batman...

Seconded, though I think they could have handled that storylines ending better. Also I'm still debating the Aaron Eckhart/Harvey Dent deal. As for the Morgan Freeman character, think about the look on his face when he left the room ;) ! Seriously though, the whole Joker theme/storyline has kinda left a haunting feeling with me.

Really?  I thought it really took away from the Rachel character by changing the actress...  I really don't care much for Maggie G., she looks like she never sleeps and has a weird shaped nose.  Maybe if they'd chosen someone besides her.  Whatever, we won't have to see her anymore after this one (unless they decided to throw flashbacks in any subsequent movies).
