Saw it last night. AMAZING! Batman is really the only superhero movie/ show I ever like but this one was the best by far. I wanted to buy it when I was leaving so I could watch it again.

Just read on Yahoo -- "British outlets are reporting Christian Bale has been arrested for assaulting his mother and sister."

Assault is a very broad charge ranging from actually hitting someone to just yelling at them.

And the previous Rachel and the new are not comparable, Rachel played a much larger role in Batman Begins than in the Dark Knight. As an actress i like Maggie Gyllenhaal much more than Katie Holmes.

Joker was good.
Disappearing pencil trick, whoa!
New love interest, meh.  Not enough screen time to feel anything.
Overall, definitely worth $5

5  it was 11 per ticket just because i reserved them over the phone, usually 10 for a night showing.

I believe that there is no way to equate the "New Joker" to the Jack Nicholson joker. My reasoning behind this is the fact that the new joker is a certain type of twisted demented character. I also believe that The Dark Knight was based off of a Frank Miller graphic novel.

re pencil "trick", I can't remember if anybody laughed, but plenty definitely gasped.  It definitely left a lasting impression on me.

Later in the movie, two or three times, the audience cheered/clapped, and at the end, so it was definitely a hit.

I think I caught the matinee price (5pm).

Not sure which one is better, but both Joker characters have been, IMO, the best screen villians in quite a while.

Forgot to mention, I thought the batbike was lame-o. Movies have to at least approximate reality. "Yoo canno' change the laws o' physics ...."

Being a Twisted New Yorker in a theater full of other twisted New Yorkers; there was an uproar of laughter from myself as well as more than half of the other movie goers.
