If I could erase a hood from history it would be the '00 Cobra R hood.  I hate that thing....

I think the ram air would look better on our earlier year cars, and the 95 R would be better on the 87-88s because the bodies are a bit more rounded on them.

A subtle 1.5" rise in the  center section of the stock hood would be PERFECT. No scoops, no holes, just a vent into the cowl section. I'd even sell my US Body hood for one of those.

Ford got the lines right the first time.

Won't know the shape of my hood until the plumbing is resolved, but that is very close to what I'm expecting it to look like.  A couple of vaguely triangular slivers shouldn't be too hard* to work into a fiberglass hood.

Any idea how much those VFN hoods cost, and if they're streetable or race only?

My vote would be for one that isn't in your poll, a centered naca duct, like SVPU made for their 87-88, with either Cobra a distant second.

or.. what he said
They are around $300.  I have only seen them on race cars.  No idea why they couldn't be for the street.

If they're race-only, then they're probably too flimsy to survive on a street-driven car.

Thanks for the $$ update.

I voted the 03-04 heat extractor i think it would look cool but now that i think of it it probably would not flow with the lines of our foxes.

I voted ram air. What I would really like though is a functioning shaker kit a la the 03-04 Mach 1 Mustang. I've always liked shaker scoops (that function ;) ) for some reason.

I'm working on a Boss 351 hood (as in my 1WLD BRD rip-off thread).  I like the Thunderbolt, but I'm an old car guy.:mullet:
