Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #3 – June 10, 2008, 06:47:07 PM I have always been a fan of the Cobra R (95) but I am not sure how that would look on a Fox cat..Maybe a job for the PS threads??? Quote Selected
Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #4 – June 10, 2008, 09:48:49 PM Since they already make a cowl style and I wanted the "Stormin' Norman" hood (ram-air), I chose the later. Quote Selected

I think it would look better than anything else. It looks like it would flow really good.Like the 03-04 hoods too not sure about on our cars though Quote Selected
Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #6 – June 10, 2008, 10:46:58 PM i dont think any one of those hoods would look right. simply due to the fact that it would have to flow well with our narrow lines on the header panel. Quote Selected

Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #8 – June 10, 2008, 11:07:31 PM I think the 95 is the only one that would work with all the different engine, carb, EFI combos we all use. As long as the front was tapered to fit the header panel, it could widen and follow the lines of the flat stock hood without looking like a flat Chevy cowl was glued on. I have never liked the existing aftermarket cowl hoods as they don't seem to me to follow the lines of the stock hood at the back and tend to look like a ski jump. Quote Selected
Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #9 – June 10, 2008, 11:11:10 PM I think the only one that *might* look good would be a heat-extractor style, but it would have to have very clean lines that matched our own. Our cars have very slippery lines and are supposed to look like they slice through the wind. This is also why I think body kits look py on our cars; they ruin the slippery look. Quote Selected
Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #11 – June 10, 2008, 11:48:23 PM I just see a red star 87TbBJ.I could see the extractor hood, if the hood was still flat. But I know the vents would never clear my air filter housing. Quote Selected
Aftermarket Hood poll...? Reply #12 – June 10, 2008, 11:51:56 PM Any idea how much those VFN hoods cost, and if they're streetable or race only?My vote would be for one that isn't in your poll, a centered naca duct, like SVPU made for their 87-88, with either Cobra a distant second.or.. what he saidQuoteI think the only one that *might* look good would be a heat-extractor style, but it would have to have very clean lines that matched our own.
