found a part dangling

On my 20th I found a two wire connector with the same colors as the coolant temp sender. 
Its fairly short and is connected to a coolant temp sender which is screwed into a three way T fitting back at the heater core hose area on the pass side.

Its been hanging there since i bought it and evidently it must have something to do with the EATC system.  Correct?  I suppose this part was not installed when the HO lower and upper was installed.

Probably the temp sensor for automatic control of the ETAC system... You're better off with it disconnected... Otherwise when the engine temp is 100*or so(guessing here), the system will go to full blower speed BEFORE the engine is warm enough to give heat... At least that's the way the ones I had behaved...

i was thinking it was something along those lines.  Ill bet the reason why its hooked up is because Aarron (PO) maybe thought it was a critical eec sensor.

Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

i cant see how you could fit that part inline with either heater core hose.  Look at what i have now and tell me how in the heck it gets intalled.  there isnt any room for the t fitting.

Maybe the SO lower intake plumbing is made a little different than the ho and some cooling pipe real-estate is gained for this part.

I dug up this pic from the thread about it. The best I could find, and sure enough, its awful. But If you look at the right hose coming off the heatercore (as in your right), where it goes behind that smaller hose (delivers coolant to the EGR plate), look up a little and theres a connector there (not the taped vac line) and that I think is the same thing you're looking at. So that T is just uhh "Teed" :hick:  into that line. Yeah there's NOT a lot of space in that area. Got real annoying at times while I was trying to make this thing faster. At school now, if I was home I'd take better pics for ya but for now this is all I got.

Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

1988 Black XR7 Procharger P600B intercooled, Edelbrock Performer non-RPM heads, GT40 intake AOD, 13 PSI @5000 RPM. 93 octane

Scott when you order new heater core hoses the computer asks you for ATC or non ATC.  The hoses are different.
