We will see. I spent about an hour there talking with them about my car...what needed to be done before, what they would be doing and weak spots in my car. I can't wait. Quote Selected

Making some progress- FOR SALE Reply #205 – November 26, 2008, 07:03:40 PM Bad day at the dyno......Started off with the car having some blow by out of the valve cover. He asked if I wanted to continue on and I said that I wanted to get a base tune in it. We were getting really good power, cutting it out around 3400rpm. We wrapped to breather to keep the oil from dripping on the header. It wasn't getting any worse so we made a partial full pull: 474hp@5400rpm, 464tq@5150rpm. That was without any timing pulled out and no methanol injection. With the ability to tune the top end more, we could have made approx 520 to the wheels. I am guessing there is a ring/piston problem. I'm not sure what I am going to do. I may park it and tear it down or I may put the front end on it, plumb a catch can and drive it until it breaks. Quote Selected

Making some progress- FOR SALE Reply #207 – November 26, 2008, 09:16:03 PM Jim- a lot of mustang guys talk about this on the forums all the time. A lot of people run a breather on each valve cover. I do this plus a little breather on the pcv valve(Turbo coupe valve). When I had one breather on only one valve cover and the pcv blocked off my breather would drip when I stayed in the boost (about 8 lbs.) but that would be the only time it did that. PCV probems/issues are discussed a lot on different mustang forums-I'm sure you've done your homework because your car has come out really nice. I just wanted to tell you my personal experience-now with all the time you've had not driving the car I say drive it until it breaks-it probably won't!! Keep posting up pics-I enjoy seeing the progress.Ken Quote Selected

I'm not sure how long it would stay together at that power either. I am going to check it out a little further this weekend. There may be a sale on engine parts if I don't like what I see.
