2.3 NA parts

I have a freind who is junking an 87 ranger 2.3. I was offered anything I wanted off the truck before it's gone. Body is shot to hell but the motor is intact. I'm wondering what parts, if any, are useful to the 2.3 guys here? If there is any I'll snag them. If not then no loss to me

The 2.3T has all the good stuff.
It's Gumby's fault.

I know that, but what is useable for anyone? I mean the intake for example. If it's usable to someone I'll grab it but if it's not I don't loose anything. I wana help/save parts if I can.

if i could id just snag the entire motor assy... cant ever have too many 2.3's lol. dont have the funds for it but i will note it is large journal crank and i do not recall if 87 if EFI or Carb but the efi intake on the ranger is a dual spreadport well thats the best way i can put it.  the mustang on the other hand is clover-leaf style which is sought after by mini stock racers. just my .02 cents wish i could pick it up tho

I'mnot sure how to really ask, but it apeares that some of it is useable. What should I grab off it? The whole motor or just parts of it?

Well,I was thinking of grabing the TB, the intake, most of the Relays, the Remote mount TFI if it has one, the over flow bottle as mine is broke, and maybe the rear end out of it. The rest is junk uless someone else wants something?

TB is smaller then a 2.3T, so it's useless. Intakes are smaller and useless. There are no relays that will work on a 2.3T or a TBird of any motor, so they're useless. It won't have a remote TFI. Overflow bottle is different, but that might be useful. The rear end will be a 7.5" non-posi with drum brakes unless it's a 4x4 or special order, and even then the axle shafts are different lengths side-to-side.

but if u got a race track (oval) that has mini stocks you could probably pick the motor up and they may be able to use parts or entire assy
