Ford Racing Valve Covers

Hi heres how they look.
Summit FMS-M-6000-J302R $150-
Yes they do fit on a 5.0 injection.
But you have to loosen and lift the air intake system to get them on.
Luckily my intake gasket stayed whole so I could just bolt it on again.
You need new longer bolts, the casting is to thich for the originals.
I used new reusable gaskets FEL-VS13264T $32-
With cleaning off the old cork pieces and moveing the holes for the throttle wires bracket the job took 4 hours.

There are only two tools you will ever need:
1) WD40
2) Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Cool :cool: . I'm thinking about getting a set of those when I drop in a HO.

Hey,those look great !! I had to notch my cable bracket when I used to have chrome covers on my engine.I polished a set of factory aluminum ones I'm using now.I want a set of "Cobra" polished valve covers.I hope to find a set on E-Bay alittle cheaper than Ford wants.I like to keep it as cheap as possible for certain,non critical parts.

I've always loved those...I think I'm gonna paint the Tbird emblem on my plain chrome ones...just to add a lil jazz if you will

I didn't. I used a 3/4" heat spacer between the upper and lower intake. Plus I gained 2 ft/lbs of torque :grinno:

More torque sounds good, got a part number?
I like the way your paint job looks.
In fact the whole compartment is outstanding.
3/4 inch must stretch every connection to the upper.
Everything reach ok? Hood closes?

Rofl, now they come out with them for EFI.  I put covers for a carb engine on mine, and had to get my buddy to make me a custom oil cap for the hole underneath the plenum.

My mistake I meant 3/8" pacer not 3/4":sorry: . There is enough slack in the vac lines and wireing that everything went back together fine. The hood closes no problem. I think the 3/8" is designed to fit woth no modifications. If you went with a 1" spacer you'd have some problems. Here's the link to the spacer I got from Summit:

It only cost about $50 so I figured what the heck. It comes with all the gaskets and bolts too.
