TC pics from the local Ford show

Summit Ford that is local to me had their annual Ford Fall finale all Ford car show today and a couple TC's other than mine actually showed up. I took 2nd place in the T-Bird category which (get this!) was ONE class that covered ALL Thunderbirds from 1955-2005! First place went to a frame off restored '55.

Engine of the white 1988 TC. That TC was actually for sale......it was a 53,000 original miles 5 speed car with red interior. Overall the car was pretty clean with the exception of some rust starting at the bottom of both fenders and rear quarters. he was asking $5500 CDN for it and came with the original wheels.

Purdy T-birds. That's more Fox T-birds than I've ever seen at a show:grinno:
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Wow, that silver Novi bird is pretty sweet. That's funny that they grouped 50 years of T-Birds in one class, lol!

Nice pics, purdy purdy 'Birds!
BTW, that silver TC, did it have stock mirrors? It may be the nagle, or glare or something, but they jumped out at me, didn't appear stock. Did you get pics of that '55?
That white one sure is clean underhood, too.

Very Nice!

There are only two tools you will ever need:
1) WD40
2) Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Everything on the exterior of the silver 88 TC is factory original....paint and all. It's fully loaded with moonroof, leather, the works. The only changes to the car are the engine and wheels. I actually know the guy who owns it as we've attended a lot of these shows together. He helped me out a bit when I was doing the wiring for my swap because he's done a couple 5.0 swaps into TC's (not to mention the fact he's a retired Ford electrical service technician so he knows his way around Ford electrical systems) He used to run a Paxton SN-93 for years until it grenaded on him, then he went with a Novi 1000 based off my recommendation.

Sorry....no pics of the '55 from this year's gig but I do have some from another show back in 2003. I think we can all agree that this thing is pretty darn sweet....

i took 3rd at our local ford show just resently and it was setup exactly the same. i put myself in the modified class though because i the form said stock thunderbirds from 55-05 lol, good thing to, because even the mint condition extreamly low milage perfect 88 silver tc didnt even place. the awards all went to the 50s birds. nice job tho, this show has inspired me to get off my ass and make my car look better to maybe get more awards next year.

A local Ford dealer here is having a show in October. I'd love to go to it since I don't think there will be any Cougars but there are two problems...
1- I have to work that day
2- Niether of my cars are anywhere near show condition right now.

Congrats on placing Hawk. You deserve it.
