my first Tbird

Here is a pic of me when I was 19 or 20, and my first Tbird.
As y'all can see it was a V6 car, and it's the one I refer to as "the Maroon car".
It got stripped when I discovered that the entire trunk floor, and rear subframe was rusted out, but a lot of the parts were used on my white Tbird.
All three of my Thunderbirds are '88...
It's not a very good pic, but it's the only one I have of it.

Man, looks just like my red one used to.
It's Gumby's fault.

It was actually a really nice car, just needed a new headlight switch, and a clip put on the inside of the drivers door lock, when I got it.
I hated like hell to strip it, as it was in better shape than my white one was, save for the ass end being pretty cancerous.
Funny thing is, I've not felt a bit of remorse parting out the TC, maybe because i've got no sentimental value for it..but the maroon car, well, it was...my first Tbird. I traded a stang in for it, it was a total POS. 2.3 4 speed (that i broke in less than a week-slapped a T5 up under it) and a glasspack-sounded an airplane.

I'd like to have another clean, mechanically sound base/V6 Tbird to use as a daily...while I build my white one...wouldn't mind a Cougar, but those rear quarter windows really don't trip my trigger.
Anyway....;)
