New guy, '88 TC Auto

Found the link to this site while browsing NATO. I'm on there as Sportrods. Honestly, this looks like a much easier to navigate message board, although NATO has some killer info. Between the 2 I should be set!

Here's a teaser pic of my 'Bird next to my mom-in-laws '87 Turbo T.

The TC is BONE STOCK. I purchased it from the original owner, and older lady. Maintenance was done professionally, and this thing was in the shop if it so much as sputtered a bit. Syn oil it's whole life, and never seen a winter. Oh, and garaged as well. It ow has 104,000 on it. Had 101,000 when I bought it.

The Turbo T, because I know people will ask, is a 1 of 200 built, all black with grey interior. It has aluminum everything, similar to the GNX< but without the power windows and locks. It's basically a bare boned GN/GNX combo. 44k original miles. All documentation since new. It also has the GNX turbo and intercooler upgrades, larger injectors, and a stage 1 calibration(forgot the brand name, its on an invoice tht came with the car..). It kicks my TC in the arse so hard I think I'm hitting the brake pedal!!

Yup! I tried to catch you on AIM, but never seem to. I've been avoiding TD.com due to some unruely mods and all the political . I just found BoostedMopar, so I'm a happy TD guy again.. Well, minus the TD...lol

Im always online bro, i actually saw your screen name on my buddy list, and was looking at it like "who the hell is this guy", i just remembered it today

v6tbird87 is my name on AIM, and im on quite a bit

i dropped off of turbo dodge because of the know-it-alls, someone will do something to their car, and get a result, then the guys will say how it didnt really happen or how its not possible...when theres running proof

idiots

I've been an avid Turbo Dodge enthusiast since back in the mailing list days and earlier. Some of us were pioneers of things they are doing now. I miss the days of Gary Donovan, Gus Mahon(RIP bro), Jan Aurio, and Paul Smith. I had one of the first Lebarons in the 12's and I think to this day I'm the only guy that had a log TI Daytona in the 12's. Man, those were the days!!

I actually got out of TD cars and into Supras before TD.com was ever a dream. I came back to them and found it, and what a load of trash!!

I was into the turbo dodges avidly for quite a while, but i was into the thunderbirds for longer, so when i had the chance to get a turbo tbird, i absolutely had to jump on it

i got into the scene shortly after Gus' accident, and i wished i would have been into them to at least be able to talk to him, and be able to thank him, because i learned quite a bit from his site

a log car in the 12's, its sad to think that no one even bothers anymore, when you ask what you should do to the car "exhaust, zenier diode, boost, K&N, TII conversion, bigger intercooler", i enjoyed my 600se, it was almost instant boost, made 11psi, and was just fun

TD.com was cool for a while, but they started updating the boards, needing money, making moderators out of people with post counts rather than intelligence, and it went to the  bucket fast, i loved the board, and was helping quite a few people out, but theres way too many nay-sayers who say youre wrong, then 2 posts later say the same thing you said

im glad im not the only one who isnt a fan of TD.com

LOL, tell me about it. A pox on all Honda buyers

That is one mighty fine looking TC. Makes me want to get my 5.0 painted all over again...
