Door B Pillar trim removal

How does the B pillar trim on the door come off?  The rear piece was simple enough to get off with only a few screws holding it on but I don't see any on the front piece.  I tried pulling on it to see if it was just clips but I didn't pull too hard in case that wasn't right.  Thanks!

This is the trim I am trying to get off...

Roll down window.
Open door.
Stand at back of door.
Grab B-pillar trim, top and bottom.
Pull toward you. Hard. It should move about 1/2".
Then slightly push the trim outward, to clear the clips.
Now push the trim forward.
Should be unhooked.

Here is a shot of the clip that's on the door, should help you visualize it a little better:

Man, you weren't kidding about having to pull hard!  My fingertips will be feeling that for a while...

Heh...yeah, it's tricky, but that tension is what keeps it in place. Worked for almost 30 years so I'd say the design was successful. :)

This appears to be for the removal of the trim on the interior of the car. I was looking to remove the exterior trim at the back edge of the doors at the window opening. The paint on mine is looking sad and needs attention. I didn't want to pull too much on these and bend them as they look to be rather thin metal. I was hoping that I don't have to paint them on the car...a lot of masking involved!
I did a search and didn't find much.
Thanks,
Rick

Thanks. I guess my search was unsuccessful because I was using the term "B pillar".
I am going to check this out carefully before attempting. I wonder if the tape thickness is great enough to allow for the thickness of the blade of a multi-function tool between the trim and the door frame. That would definitely reduce the chances of bending that thin trim over the razor knife method.

I'm not sure. I found both side NOS and they are at the body shop with the car. I'm letting them deal with getting the old ones off and the NOS pieces on in their place.
