You probably just need the door lock solenoid. I have one I can ship to you for $25.00.

Hi, I think you're right. I talked with my Papa and he agrees that he believes it's the solenoid being jammed/gunked up. Is there anyway you can send me a picture of it just so I can show him and make sure it's what will work for the driver's side door? cwardy300@gmail.com

Hi, Sorry we are playing phone tag. Just left you vm. Definitely interested in purchasing solenoid from you. Any chance you happen to have other spare parts that would be comparable to the 87 mercury cougar, for example: the ashtray in the backseat, the radio with graphic equalizer premium sound, etc...?

What about the plastic trim on fenders? Driver side front or passenger side front? And turn signal light option or without?
