Some nice shots.  You're certainly having fun with it!

Looks like it pulls hard to 6,800-6,900.  Great for a HR!  Did you touch the limiter in the first video or a bit of valve float?  It seemed to take a bit to recover on the 1-2 shift, but was clean on the two three.

If you are running an MSD AL, the chips start to drop cylinders a couple hundred RPM prior to the chip rating.  I put pills in 300 RPM higher than my max shift point, which allows it to pull to all the way and give a tiny bit extra if I don't hit it spot on.

Is it mostly a street cruiser or are you looking to run it at the strip?  The reason I ask is: The converter really seems to load the engine until it hits the power band.  If it's mostly a street car, it'll be great fun to hammer around w/o excessive slip.  At the strip, the 60' times will suffer, but it will still MPH really well.

Overall you have done a great job of putting it together and have beautiful car!

I have the rev limiter set at 6800 when on the street but when I race it I set it at 7500 and shift it when it feels its time usually like 7200. Also I have the 6 digital plus with two adjustment dials. I know the converter sucks it is a b&m holeshot 3000 that flashes at like 2400 at the light, wich gives me a 60' ft of a 13 sec car 1.78. I will throw the slicks on so I can really hammer on it(traction)and then I will take more vids.

The digitals are nice units, now those are accurate!  I'm still using ancient technology...  Good to hear float is not an issue.

What have your trap speeds been at the strip?

A tran-brake could enhance the launch on a tight converter, but there I go spending your money!

Looking forward to additional vids.

12.0@115 but I dropped 100lbs (from the car lol) went from 3.73 to 4.33, electric water pump, cnc port matched intake, all new rear suspention double adj. uppers and lowers and coil overs, so it should run a little better:D but the way it felt when I changed the gears  like a friggin rocket.:burnout: I have been wanting to install a trans brake but with my luck I will brake my tranny and if that happens I was going to a 5 speed, but I can't decide on a brake or another converter what do you think?

The last convertor I bought I paid $450 , it was a 10 inch 3200 stall for my 73 Montego , and man it was years ago . It was a custom tranny shop in NY . My bird has a Art Carr 3500 stall convertor in it ,but I don't know how much it was .

The gears and suspension should make a big difference!  It'll be interesting to see how the gear causes the car to react.  The extra torque multiplication with better suspension should get a harder bite and drop that 60'.  The extra RPM through the traps may pick up the MPH.  Certainly have the power for mid 11's.

Tough call between a converter and a brake.  The brake would push the launch RPM up on the tight converter (true stall) and let the car react fast off the light.  They are really fun!

A custom converter is not cheap, if the cash is there it's a key component to getting the most out of the combo at the strip (though maybe not for the street...).

These things develop a life of their own, morphing with time.

I'm interested to see the results of your next track trip.  Hope you have good weather.

I got my custom convertor for my 05 f150 for $350 thats cheeper than a stock new one!  You can get any stall you want for the same price.  I got it from PRNDDL Transmission parts they are located in Dearborn MI.
I found them thru my local trans shop. My truck is 5500lbs and makes 450rwhp, Ive had my TQ for 2 years now,,, no problems.

 Hope they can help you!

I also think "Mad Dog" was going to make me one for $400 thats how I got PRNDDL to do $350 and they said they had heard of them and garanteed theirs to be better. Call a few places and play them agains each other.
