Fixing short in TPS wiring harness

I traced my random idle and drivability to a wire in between my 10 pin connector and TPS plug.  The problem is in the black wire.  Is there anyway to take these connectors apart, replace the wire, and put them back together or should I just cut as much of the wire off as I can and put a new wire in its place.  Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks!

Ed

If you look into the connector, you should see a little tang coming off the metal pr0ng that the wire is attached to, you need to release the tang from the plastic connector and it should pull out easily. You'll need new metal pins to put on the new wire, I'm sure Napa carries them. try using a small pick, or a very long needle to release it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
