8.8 width ???

Hey guys,
  I am looking for a 8.8 rear end with the width of 55"-56" from outside hub to hub (where the wheel mounts). Anyone know of a vehicle that i / we could find this from?? I know some of the explores carried some but they are like 57" - 57.5's
  It is for my brother in law and he is putting this in a pinto(78), looking to be a street / drag race car.  :D

fox body mustang is the narrowest stock width 8.8
Currently Birdless but never Foxless

How about searching the 2-3 stickied threads already covering this subject?
