Aerostar axles in a 86 Tbird 7.5 rear end

Will the aerostar axels fit my 7.5 rear end? Some guy in the jy told me they are a direct swap, and just toss on 5 lug ranger drums. Is this true?

Two driver side Ranger axles will fit for the 5 lug swap.

Sweet I just happen to have two DS ranger axles and drums. Just need rotors. Is this true or are you missing around? I would think that I would have heard of this before.

It's true. The passenger side axles are too short. The ranger had two different size axles.

to use the aerostar axles you would need them from the pass side.

vinnietbird is right.

Just understand Bruce that the wheels will move inboard 3/4 inch each side tho with the ranger axles.

Ill keep that in mind when I get wheels. Thanks. I plan on making a trip to the pick-in-pull the weekend after next. My friend might have a rolled mustang that Im going to get the 8.8 out of. If not then I'll just run the 7.5 until it breaks.

I just thought of something. If the axles are shorter than wont the drums rub the back plate? If you'll say it will work than I'll try it but it just seems the drums will not fit.
