Missing o2 sensor?

New to this web site, new to the forum, but not new to trying to keep my car on the road.  I'm just a Mom - driving boys to ball games and such.  Have a '88 T-Bird.  I had someone scan it and was told I needed to replace the rear o2 sensor.  Got the part, got the car up on blocks, but now the problem is I can't seem to find it or a picture of where it should be online - Any ideas?  Thanks

Engine size?

There is no rear O2 sensor in these cars.  There should be a sensor in the exhaust manifold for each side of the engine, provided you have a V-6 or V-8.

3.8 liter, V6 engine. So then there are 2 of the same sensor on opposite sides of the engine?

Yep one in each exhaust manifold. Should be on the top rear of each exhaust manifold.

If you know the code that was scanned it will tell you which side.
Unfortunately getting an 02 sensor code doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is bad.

What year is it?  95 and up (i believe)  have a rear O2.

'88 V-6 Thunderbirds only had ONE O2 sensor. I believe it was on the driver's side.
